During 2005 387 flights were donated in Washington State (an increase of 8% over 2004). We were very excited about such an increase but guess what---? Year to date 2006 Angel Flight Washington State is more than 40% over last year. This is an amazing accomplishment considering the cost of fuel and the ever increasing need for volunteer pilots. Thanks for helping us help others, these free flights could not happen without you (healthcare providers) remembering Angel Flight as a resource available to your patience.

Angel Flight is a group of (volunteer) pilots and non-pilot assistants who provide free air transportation to those in need. Flights are offered free of charge, all fuel and other expenses are paid for by our volunteer pilots.

Angel Flight West provides free (non-emergency) air transportation for those (of all ages) with compelling needs. In most cases the need is for medical care, we can also help with the transport of certain organs, blood, service animals etc. Flights are also made to transport children to health care related camps, such as camps for recovered burn victims or children with cancer and family members who want to visit a patient. Angel Flight is often the link that enables a patient to get diagnosis or treatment that would otherwise be inaccessible because of financial or logistical considerations.

Angel Flight West accepts requests from individuals but prefers hearing from health care professionals such as social workers, nurses, physicians and discharge planners. Please feel free to contact us with any air travel needs you may know of.
